This story is way different from the movie. The book is about a kid going through tough times because he has been blamed of stealing a famous baseball player's shoes. When he did not steal anything. the boy's name is Stanley Yelnats. If you like this short summary why don't you just read the book. If you liked the movie you will like the book.
