Companion book to: Hatchet and The river.
Instead of being rescued from a plane crash, as in the author's book Hatchet, this story portrays what would have happened to Brian had he been forced to survive a winter in the wilderness with only his survival pack and hatchet.

11/19/2010Brian's Winter is a great book for anybody who has read The River or Hatchet. It is about a boy named Brian who in Hatchet was rescued by a man in a plane flying over where Brian has lived since his plane crashed into a lake. Except this time, the author makes a story about Brian not being rescued in summer, and was left to survive in winter.
