This book is about a girl named Annemarie Johannesen, who has a friend named Ellen. Ellen is Jewish. The Germans have invaded Denmark, so the Johannesens have to get Ellen and her family to Sweden, where the Jews are free. I think the book is great. Its at a good reading level for 4th to 6th graders.

I like realistic fiction and adventure books. I tried this book and it was the perfect book for me because it has both.If you like adventure or realistic fiction you should try this book.
